Drama Showcase

Today's Drama Showcase was awesome!
I enjoyed every second while I was performing.
And it's totally true- When you're onstage, you're so nervous you forget to feel nervous.
But the big question remains: WILL I GET SELECTED FOR DRAMA CLASS? And: WILL I ACCEPT IT?
It depends on who are going to be my future classmates. And even if I don't get in... well, it just means that God wants me to focus on my studies so I can achieve my targeted score next year. I will NOT cry. If I do, you have permission to smack me senseless.
Keep your fingers crossed for me...
Hopefully the people on my to-avoid list will not be in the same class as me...

A moment of silence

It's after the review-tests and I should be happy. I'm not.
Although I did have fun during Sports Carnival...
I may seem a bit sadistic right now, but I do have my reasons.

Of all the times I read about people dealing with death, not one seemed accurate today. I just felt empty. Hollow. There was no dramatic crumpling-on-the-floor-with-tears or uncontrollable gushing of tears. Just silent and few ones. Sometimes one teardrop means even more than a million shed at one time. It depends on what the cause was.
Looking back, I feel really bad that I could cry over bad grades and stuff. It seems pointless now, but I can't guarantee I won't do it again.

Short and concise. Yes.

But I've just finished an awesome book I was looking for for about a month! It's called 'Beastly' by Alex Flinn... Awesomeness.
And I'm currently reading 'This Lullaby' by Sarah Dessen(she's good). I think I'm gonna finish it today.
History/ Geography project was killer. But I'm just glad that I did my best.
Now, my friends and I are wondering... IS IT MOUNT PINATUBO OR MAYON IN THE GEOG TEST?!!?

And I can safely say that my blog is simply a place(a utopia, if you will) for me to express myself and be politically wrong. And I finished Love, Stargirl... It was, as I would put it, spaztasticalicious. I didn't cry though. But I do strongly recommend it... Stargirl will teach you many life-long lessons.

U noe 2day is the KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS 2009 rite? The first broadcast in Asia? But today, my dad said we have to go to pray for my passed grandfather on his side just yesterday(but I was listenin to music)... So only informed today, I was totally spazzin out, coz I was most likely gonna miss it. But he assured me that we would be back in time since they were goin to be there at 10.30 and the KCA was at 12.30... and a damned phone call was recieved and guess what? Oh no, they delayed it and it was goin to be at 11.30... WHAT THE FREAKIN HELL OK, WHAT THE FREAKIN HELL. This is unjust and wrong... I planned the to watch the KCA for weeks, WEEKS! And now... this. I hate it, ok? Why do I have to be the one to pls everyone while no ones there to pls me?!!? And I'll bet my gma forgot my bdae, coz she hasn't given me my red packet yet and my bdae was like 2 days ago... I will remai stinky-faced throughout the whole thin(except for when I'm prayin and when I tlk to Celine) and my dad would obviously get mad, but who cares? I should be madder!
Tis is due to bad plannin, not my prob. Its theirs. I deserve the right to have free expression of my displeasure.

Partly becoz of HSM... no, I'm not watchin HSM3 again... or any of the movies in fact...
I'm rereadin some of my favourite HSM fanfics... and I see so many of my fav writers losin interest in HSM and not writing anymore... MadiWillow(written FORGET YESTERDAY) and JolieMarie(-SHOT QUEEN)... so sad... they were the nice ones, though... the ones that gave an official goodbye... They've written some incredible Troyella, but in the end...
I'm overwhelmed by the sadness of this... What if one day, I become like them? I lose interest in HSM... and I say goodbye to fanfiction... for good?
And then it makes me wonder in the future, when I grow up, even if with reluctance, will I still be the same as I am now? I'm scared of what the future holds... and if you think this is just abt not lovin somethin anymore, then you're wrong... Its like losin a part of u... and when u look back, you'll go, "back in the good ol' days"... And that's when you realise that you've grown up and grown out of a part of you and moved on to bigger things...
What if one day, I cringe at the sound of HSM and twist my face up in disgust at Twilight?!!? Admit it, no matter how irritatin this love of mine seems, its a part of me... and without this obsession, I will be just... any other girl...
I've decided to revisit the older fave fanfics of mine and read them all again, and fall deeper in love with HSM... And work on a new HSM fanfic...
Becoz no matter how hard you run, these old loves catch up with you and drag you back, either you follow or forget.

OK, I was readin this Twilight fic called 'Questions' and there was this question: Do stairs go up or down?
I dun think anybody has thought about this so I'll let this settle at the bottom of ur mind first.
Do stairs go up or down?
I dun think there's a right answer coz even Edward (Cullen) doesn't noe the ans, or so accordin to the fic, but if it were me, my ans would be:
Stairs go up and down, dependin on the person walkin it. If u're headed to level below u then the stairs are goin down. If u're headed to the level above u, then the stairs are goin up. But that is not the point. The stairs will only lead u to ur destination. It doesn't determine where u r headed. The stairs do not have any control over u, therefore the question is not 'do stairs go up or down' but 'r u goin up the stairs or down'.
There was supposed to be a meanin to it, but some point in time, I forgot...

March holidays was spent "wisely"

We went out on MAR 20(NZ bday) to Cineleisure and I was freaked out coz Denise told me there were many juvenile delinquints(u heard me!) there who carried knives and stuff and I was so scared. I did not want to die. So we(me, De, Angie and Shan) watched Hotel for Dogs(awesome, btw)and I was tryin not to cry. We went to the arcade to play and I was losin at everythin... Then we went PastaMania to eat(their baked rice is the bomb!)and then Glor came! In her sch uniform but still... then NZ came and we went to take neoprints! YAY! I looked so unglam, but then, who didn't?(Except NZ coz shes the bday princess). I went home early coz of my mum and I skiped the retarded PE project meetin(SORRY FATS AND GEN). I was pissed at my mum for bein pissed at me abt it and she wouldnt stop tlkin abt it!
Anyways, what else did I do in the too-short MAR HOLS... Oh, I finished two books- THE TRUTH ABT FOREVER(MACYxWES YAYz!) and MY SISTER'S KEEPER which was a total tear jerker. I was weepin silently at the back of the car aft I finished MY SIS KEEPER. I'm currently readin Slumdog Millionaire, rushin like hell for Sam and Gen(is it?)...
And btw, SAM, CHEALSEA AND GIOGI ARE THE BEST! They totally understand me and are true LDbfs!

Aaaaaanywaaaaaaaays... OMG. I BOUGHT THE HSM3 DVD!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I watched it yesterday... most of u probably noe that I cried from the middle till the end... well... I didn't do exactly that yesterday... I started cryin at the end... where they graduate... fine, I cried when TROY drove his old truck to find GABRIELLA and danced with her at the 'prom'... What? It was super sweet! I love HSM3... In my opinion, HSM3 is the best out of all the HSMs. But, it's so sad(which is partly why I cried) becoz it's the last movie wit all my fav. WILDCATS... *sniff sniff* WHY?!!? I feel that from 2006 till now, HSM has changed my life so drastically. I grew with HSM and I loved it more and more as the sequels came out... I love HSM sooooooo much! It's not a kiddish movie! Well... maybe it is... kinda... But it's not about the target audience! It's about the plot and the characters... What ppl dun realise/ appreciate is that HSM is an inspirational movie series and it will change your life... Becoz most "act cool" kids will rather hit their head against the wall and jump off the 99th storey window than be caught watchin/ likin HSM... Boo for u!'

OMG! 3 PPL IN CLASS R TOTALLY... GRRRRR! Irritatin much? I won't mention names...
O and 2day in CME(Civics moral education), our crazed form teacher showed us a video... I'll hv nightmares... I mean, I'm not mean, but seriously, it's kinda creepy. A 20 month old kid got burnt in a car accident(or mayb not so accidental for the person hu started it... JERK!) and 80% of him was burnt. He lost his hands and toes and one ear(I saw the remainder... ew) and basically, he accepted the fact that he was different and moved on. I applaud you, Mr. Joel(was that his name?). Although it kinda scared me(I can never b a doctor), I still got the gist of the story and learnt a valueable lesson- we should all appreciate what we hv and who we are, becoz even when his head looked like a skull(not a normal head, it's just skin over skull), he still thanked God for what he has, and I think I should not b such a perfectionist anymore...
Oh! And I almost 4got, FIRST DAY OF LD!

So me and YY were up in MPR2 and we were chattin until we saw all the newbies... our jaws were on the floor. 19 NEWBIES?!!? WHAT?!!? How come so many? It made me feel insignificant.
The Sec 1s had to go down to the DRAMA studio, and we were basically yellin(chattin) at each other until Mr. I-own-the-world-in-a-black-shirt walked in. Two words: Adrian Wong.
I knew him frm last year's Jubilate rehearsals... Ouch. Fierce.
Better not get on his 'professional drama teacher' sode. YY was nudgin me, tellin me to get the newbies to greet the teachers. I did. "Um ppl, stand." They did. "Greet the teachers." They did. Aaaawkwaaaaaaaard.
We played games mostly. Got sabo-ed a lot. VA, Hillary and Trisha(sp?) got onto my list and only the last 2 got off it by the end of the day.

I WENT TO CHINGAY YESTERDAY!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOO! It was nicey-nice. Although the mc was lame... coz he tried to get everybody high by doin the 'Chingay wave' (my parents were lame and did the wave stiffly) to cheer C. H. I. N. G. A. Y. CHINGAY! The mood was totally spoilt becoz the guy sittin next to me(he was like a teenager) was cheerin and singin in a deep/ girly voice to amuse his girlfren... so lame... His shoes were U. G. L. Y. Hope the get married and then divorced... muahahaha! Anyways, the floats were nice... ok, fine, some were horible(like the last 1... had no clue wat it was supposed to b) but the performance was great! For one performance, they used HSM3 song!!!! Now Or Never and I Want It All... I was silently 'yes'ing... until I saw the performer's costume and dance... 3 words: HI. DE. OUS. At least they music was gd! I liked the Korean performance. They had little karate-doin kids! So kawaii! They used S Club 7 songs! Silently 'yes'ing again. The finale's performance was messy,had no idea wat they were doin... I get that it was supposed to b like a magic show, but... the trickes were lame. I knew all their secrets. The final magic act was awesome. The guy was supposed to stand the heat of the fire set on him for a minute... he yelled for help after half a minute and they found that he'd vanish... OOOOoooo! Then he heroically stood at the top f the building and slid down from the top wit a harness attached to a chord(I was wonderin what it was 4). I liked that one.
OK, I understand that I owe u ppl a detailed description of wat happened durin CNY and CNY celebrations... I'm lazy... so wat? Go on and judge me.

After she got attacked by the St John's ppl(long story short- she was greedy coz she wanted more stickers than me ad asked for more St Jon's stickers. They gave her like 100 coz they thought she like St John's and she got approached by another group of St Jonh's who saw the many St John's stickers on the top half of her pinafore so they attacked her wit stickers thinkin she like St John's. This also happened with the next group. So becoz she felt guilt that she was wastin the St John's stickers even though she didn't like them at all, she put St John's under uniform group under 6th choice... and got in.) So haha! But on a serious note... It's funny! Karma(rite?) But that's where u r fated to be so, u can't make urself hate St John's without a gd excuse...

And we had to wait 4 our teacher coz she wold not give us the results before recess, so durin recess, seniors(who's names I dun noe) were like, "Sim Wee!" So I was like, "What? Who called me." And they like squeezed my CCA results frm me... so I had to admit that my 'cher hasn't given out the results... dissappointment!

Me:WHAAAAAAAAAT?!!? GIRL GUIDES?(FYI girl guides rock...if I do get in, I learn how to build stuff with a hammer and hunt for wild animals to eat in the forest and cook them over a charcoal fire thing) I DIDN'T GET INTO LD! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Random classmate no.40(we only hv like 38 students in our class): What's goin on? What r u screamin about?
Me: (repeats)
Random classmate no.40: O... I see...
(runs over to 1J to tell Drama Queen and Angie who miraculously came to sch early) Both of them: WHAT?!!? R u serious? It must b a mistake...
(cryin) Me: No! It's not I million-checked... I'm not in LD.
(tryin to comfort) Both: It's ok! Audition again-
(cuts them off) Me: I hate the world!
(five seconds later) Me: Wait... (realises that I'm hatin the wrong thing) I don't hate the world! I hate auditions...
(twenty seconds later) Me: Wait... (realises I'm hatin the wrong thing again) I hate Drama/ Theatre/ Acting!
(a minute later and still whinin) Me: Wait... (realises I'm hatin the wrong thing again again) I don't hate either of them... I hate SNGELDDS!
(storms off towards class)
(DQ and Angie kinda stunned) To each other: So... wanna go to Mac's later?
Afterwards, during assembly, while the ppl r prayin, I yell: Life's unfair! I hate everybody!
I get dragged away, screamin and kickin ppl's shins.
In class, I hv a bad attitude, like when teacher asks me a ques., I reply: NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Durin recess, DQ, Angie, Fats, Nutsy, Lek Ee, Nicole, Jamine, VA and other ppl who r busybodies crowd around me, tryin to comfort me(or u all better b...) I confess the shockin truth: I don't hate LD... just the sec ones who got in LD.
By then, several "mysterious" deaths hv been reported in the sch. No comment.
I borrow Drama Queen's fully-charged cell to call Gloria/ Denise/ Shuning/ NZ/ Shannon's phone since we're all hvin recess/ cuttin class at the same time. Their reactions:
Gloria: Oh... You noe what I got for my B'day?
Denise: OMG, r u serious? I got in theatre and u didn't? How can?
Shuning: What the heck? Go and kill them all! I'll help!
NZ: It's ok! Try again next year! Sure can get in!
Shannon: (sighs) Nevermind! St Nick's LD is not even gd...
Then I call the police and try to report and DQ would grab the phone from my hands and apologise while tryin to explain the total lie: I'm sorry. My friend just got out from the metal hospital... yes, we'll send her back in... Don't worry about a thing.
Then DQ and the rest would try to prank call sb to cheer me up and I would laugh so hard I fall on the floor and start bleedin(I always thought I'd die that way) but live, coz it was only my knee.
Afterwards, they'll get a wheelchair from the infirmary and push me around in it. But DQ would not touch it(if u dun get it, nvrmind)
When we get bck into class, my mood'll improve and I'll ans the ques. asked by the teachers to the best of my ability... Teacher: What is 1+2? Me: --+++-+10002939489.
After sch, I'll tell my mum and my mum would scold me: Why did you even love drama in the first place! I told you many times, you will never suceed.
In the evening, my cousin Celine would call and she'll help me plot the fall of SNGELDDS.
The next day at sch, all my BFFs/Fs would come to sch super early to check that I did not kill myself. I would surprise myself becoz I didn't even think of that.
A month later, I would create a Drama Rejects Clubs and we would beat crush ELDDS with our play 'How dare you reject me and throw me away?' which will be acclaimed worldwide and ELDDS will hv nothin but a few loser- ahem, I mean loyal fans while we get the fame and no fortune(c'mon, we act coz we love). A few years after that, I'll claw my way up the ladder of fame and win awards like Golden Globe, Oscar, Emmy and what not and will not thank a lot of ppl.
A few years after that, I'll retire early becoz I'm already a bajillionaire(is that a word?) and buy an island and start a exclusive island resort and ppl would hv to pay 6000++ to stay a night in the hotel/ resort.
I'll die of happiness and I'm not married. I'll go down in history as the best actress/ singer in the world.
If I do get in... I'll probably won't.
